Garvan Institute is one of Australia’s leading Medical Research Centres working on interlinked causes from genetics to lifestyle and diet. Garvan Institute harnesses the information of the genome to predict, diagnose, prevent and treat disease so everyone lives longer, healthier lives.

In 2019, The Balnaves Foundation made a three year commitment to support research into identifying and evaluating new therapies for patients with treatment-resistant breast cancer. Through our grant with Garven, The Balnaves Foundation have been able to support the research work of Professor Elgene Lim and the Connie Johnson Breast Cancer Research Group.
