The Balnaves Foundation was honoured to see the Balnaves Family recognised on the inaugural The List: Arts & Culture 2022, The Australian’s list of 100 of the most influential arts and cultural leaders in Australia.
As Australia emerges from its Covid cocoon, the arts are roaring back to life. This list is comprised of gamechangers who are taking the nation forward in a post-pandemic world. The Foundation was delighted to see so many of our grantees also acknowledged for their role in shaping the resurgence of the arts in Australia; Rhana Devenport (Art Gallery of South Australia), Neil Armfield AO and Rachel Healy (Adelaide Festival), Nick Mitzevich (National Gallery of Australia), Stephen Page (Bangarra Dance Theatre), Leah Purcell (Balnaves Fellow at Belvoir St Theatre in 2014) and John Kaldor (Kaldor Public Art Projects).
